Yarrow is ideal to treat…

Yarrow Benefits

The active ingredients of Yarrow stop bleeding, makes tissue contract, and inhibits bacterial growth. It also helps tissue heal quickly, and gives the area pain relief. This makes it ideal for treating open skin wounds and rashes.

It also helps treat skin conditions that have broken skin when applied as a cream or oil to affected skin. Not only does it heal wounds more quickly, but it protects the wound from infections.

It is a natural decongestant that relieves colds and coughs, as well as reduces fever.

Yarrow History

Yarrow was used over 3,000 years ago by the Greeks to treat and heal wounds. The Latin genus name, Achillea, honors the Greek hero Achilles; who reportedly used yarrow for himself and for his soldiers as a treatment for wounds. Yarrow is a traditional medicinal plant used in Scotland as a wound ointment, as well as for hemorrhoids.

It has been used as a medicinal herb for women for over 1000 years. It eases menstruation pain as well as help stimulate circulation to the uterus. Due to increased circulation, it helps reduce cramping and increases menstrual flow.
